CHRIS DILISI, CHEF/OWNER

A native Clevelander Chris grew up in the mean streets of Lyndhurst. He spent many hours helping his grandparents cook old school Italian food. Learning how to cook “the sauce,” which every Italian family has a version of and grows in folklore every passing year.

He left Lyndhurst to pursue his dream of a culinary career. Way out on the West Coast in Portland Oregon, he graduated with honors from Western Culinary. He came back home and spent a few years honing his skills at various locations throughout the city.

Di Lisi’s first Chef job was at The Inn at Turner’s Mill and acted as the pastry chef as well for a few years, learning how to work with a talented and dedicated staff. Chris left to accept an exec job at The Baricelli Inn, the esteemed fine dining restaurant in the city at the time. He then opened Flour where he worked with an extremely loyal and talented staff focusing on southern Italian cuisine and wood fired pizza.

Di Lisi now brings you The Willeyville, an homage to old school cooking principals where they actually butcher, cure, cook, and bunch of other things that can be summarized as things he likes to eat and are delicious.
